Seth Wickstrom: Keep Fitness Simple

New exercises, new diets, new supplements everywhere on the internet: You easily lose overview when you are looking for answers concerning fitness questions. This mess may also be the reason why someone is not progressing. Seth Wickstrom puts it to an end. The online fitness coach says:

“The biggest common mistake people are making on their fitness goals is over complicating the process

  • Diets
  • Trying new workouts every day/ week
  • Buying every supplement they see
  • Following BS fitness Advice
  • Doing NEW fancy exercises they see on IG

The problem with all these and why you’re probably not seeing progress building muscle or losing fat is that this approach has no structure or strategy.

If you want want to learn how to get progress don’t try to reinvent the wheel. You simply need to stick to the fundamentals and basics of fitness.

Progress comes down to 2 things…

NUTRITION: 75% of your progression in the gym comes down to nutrition.

Every diet “works”. It doesn’t matter what diet you follow or what foods you eat it all comes down to CICO (calories in VS. Calories out). The best diet is going to be one that you can ACTUALLY stick to long term.

TRAINING: You need a structured approach to working out. That means following a strategy to increase performance and strength.

You need to be following a specific strategy with your exercises, sets, reps and muscle groups.

Not switching them every week, trying new workouts every time you train or doing different exercises to “shock” the muscles.”
